Our partners at Giant Bicycles came through, big time, with U-locks for all those involved in the event.
John Bilderbeck and Julia Golomb give a safety talk and demonstrate proper hand signal usage.
Liz Powers of LIFT and the bike recipients look on as John B. gives a flat-fixing clinic.

The Mayor came out to give a talk to the new bike owners.
Liz from LIFT addresses the crowd as Mayor Menino and Boston Bike Czar Nicole Freedman look on.

It's a fact — bikes make people happy.
It was a great day for all those involved. We look forward to working with LIFT in the future.
